HiSmith Premium Sex Machine (Original) Review: Is It Worth Buying?

The HiSmith Premium Sex Machine (Original) is worth buying if you want the Premium chassis and do not need wireless control. HiSmith publishes a 100-watt mute turbine motor, chrome-plated solid steel support rods and a 0 to 90 degree angle range. It is a floor-standing machine, it ships with a 20 cm silicone dildo, and no remote or app appears in its box contents.

The quick version

  • HiSmith publishes a 100-watt mute turbine motor and chrome-plated solid steel support rods for the Original. It is not a DC motor and it is not a desktop machine.
  • It is floor-standing. HiSmith states it performs best on carpeted surfaces.
  • The box does include a 20 cm (8 in) silicone dildo with a 15.2 cm (6 in) insertable length and a 4 cm diameter.
  • No remote and no app are listed in the Original's box contents. That is the honest reason to look at one of the other Premium variants.
  • HiSmith does not publish an RPM figure, a stroke-length range or a decibel rating on this machine's own listing. We are not going to make them up.
  • Plain unbranded packaging, discreet billing descriptor, free shipping over $99, 10am same-day dispatch cutoff from our Brisbane and Melbourne warehouses.

Who this guide is for

You are looking at the cheapest way into the HiSmith Premium range and trying to work out what you give up. You want to know whether the base model is a stripped-back version of the same machine or a lesser machine wearing the same badge. You also want to know where the thing will actually live, because 11.5 kg of chrome-plated steel does not tuck into a bedside drawer.

What HiSmith Actually Publishes About the Original

Every figure below is taken from HiSmith's own listing for this machine. The second table lists the figures HiSmith publishes for the other Premium machines but not for the Original, so you can see exactly where the gaps are rather than being handed a guess.

Published on the Original's product page

Spec HiSmith's figure
Motor 100-watt mute turbine motor
Frame Chrome-plated solid steel support rods
Telescopic distance 36.5 cm (14 in)
Angle adjustment 0 to 90 degrees
Input voltage 110 to 240 V
Attachment mounts KlicLok System and Quick Air Adapter
Included dildo 20 cm (8 in) total, 15.2 cm (6 in) insertable, 4 cm (1.6 in) diameter, 336 g, silicone

Published for the Premium family, but not on this listing

HiSmith publishes 0 to 240 RPM, a 3 to 15 cm adjustable stroke length, 30 to 50 dB and an 11.5 kg total weight on the listings for the Purple Premium and Gold Premium machines, which share the Premium chassis. Those figures are not repeated on the Original's own listing. Treat them as family figures, not as a measurement of this SKU. If a review quotes you a decibel reading for the Original specifically, ask where it came from.

Form Factor: Floor-Standing, Not a Desktop Unit

The HiSmith Premium Sex Machine (Original) is a floor-standing machine. HiSmith describes it as a robust, floor-standing thrusting machine built on a solid chrome-plated steel rod framework, and the box contains four support rods, two metal T-braces and six antiskid covers. It does not perch on a desk. It stands on the floor with its own legs under it.

This changes where you can put it and who it suits. HiSmith states the machine performs best on carpeted surfaces - the antiskid covers need something to bite into. On floorboards, tiles or polished concrete, a machine driving a 100-watt turbine against your body weight will want to walk away from you. Put a rug under it, or accept that you will be resetting its position.

It also means height is fixed by the floor. The machine's own angle range covers 0 to 90 degrees, which handles direction and depth, but it does not lift the drive arm to mattress height. If you want to use it on a bed rather than the floor, that is what the HiSmith Premium Fucking Machine Lift Platform is for: HiSmith rates it for the Premium series, gives it a 55 cm to 80 cm pneumatic height range, a carbon steel frame with a 60 kg static load rating and four lockable castors. It is a stand for the machine, and HiSmith publishes that 60 kg figure as a static load - it is not rated as something to put your body weight on.

Assembly is straightforward and HiSmith supplies a hexagon wrench and a carry bag, so it does break down for storage. It just does not break down into something small.

The Motor, and the Noise Question

HiSmith specifies a 100-watt mute turbine motor for the Original, described as designed to maintain consistent thrust without stalling. It is not a DC motor, and any review telling you it is has not read the product page.

On noise, HiSmith's listing says the motor "operates at a whisper-quiet level" and gives no decibel figure. The Purple and Gold Premium listings publish 30 to 50 dB. We are not going to transfer that number onto this machine and present it as measured, because HiSmith has not published it here. What we can tell you honestly: HiSmith calls it whisper-quiet, and the mechanical noise you will actually notice from any floor-standing machine is as much the frame and the attachment as the motor. A rug helps with both.

If genuinely low noise is the deciding factor, note that the Servok Premium does not publish a decibel rating either. Servo drive is a different mechanism, not a documented quietness claim, and we will not sell you one on that basis. For machines where HiSmith does publish the numbers, our quiet machine comparison is the better starting point.

What Is in the Box

The Original ships with an attachment. HiSmith's What's Included list for this machine is:

  • 1 x main machine unit
  • 4 x support rods
  • 2 x metal T-braces
  • 6 x antiskid covers
  • 1 x 8 in (20 cm) silicone dildo - 15.2 cm insertable, 4 cm diameter, 336 g
  • 1 x hexagon wrench
  • 1 x power supply
  • 1 x portable carry bag

Read that list again for what is missing. There is no remote. There is no app. There is also no separate speed controller of any kind - the Purple and Gold Premium machines both list a wire-speed dial and a remote controller in their box contents, and the Original lists neither. HiSmith does not describe the Original's control method on the listing at all.

That is the single most important thing to understand before you buy this machine, and it is why the other Premium variants exist. If reaching the machine mid-session is a problem for the position you have in mind, buy a variant with a remote. The Premium (Remote and App) is the direct step up: HiSmith lists a wired speed controller, a remote controller with a published 20 m range and app control in its box.

KlicLok and Choosing an Attachment

KlicLok is HiSmith's own patented quick-release attachment mount. It is not a brand and it is not a separate company. It is an eight-sided click connector built into the drive arm: the attachment pushes in and locks, and there are no third-party KlicLok attachments. Anything not made for KlicLok needs a HiSmith adapter. The Original's listing also lists Quick Air Adapter compatibility.

The stock dildo is a genuinely usable starting attachment - 15.2 cm insertable at 4 cm diameter is a mainstream size, and most buyers do not need to buy a second attachment on day one. When you do, the whole KlicLok range sits in HiSmith Machines and Accessories, and the broader mounts and adapters are in Sex Machine Accessories.

HiSmith 7.5 inch Slim Silicone Anal Dildo with a KlicLok base plug, the slimmest anal attachment in the HiSmith KlicLok range

Attachments for anal use

Be realistic about the sizes on offer. HiSmith's slimmest KlicLok anal attachment on our shelves is the 7.5 in Slim Silicone Anal Dildo, and HiSmith publishes it at 3.8 cm diameter with a 16 cm insertable length. The 7 in Veined Slim is 4 cm diameter, 17.2 cm insertable. Those are called slim relative to the rest of the HiSmith range, not relative to a body that has never done this. If this is your first anal play of any kind, a machine is not where you start - work up with a proper flared-base plug first, and come back to the machine.

Both of those attachments have a removable KlicLok base plug so they can be used off the machine. Once the plug is out, the flared-base rule applies as it does to any anal toy: if it has no flared base, it does not go near the rectum.

Lube

Water-based lubricant only, on every silicone attachment HiSmith sells. Silicone lubricant degrades silicone toys - the surface goes tacky and then breaks down. HiSmith puts this in its own care notes on the attachment listings. Our lubricants range covers it.

The Original Against the Rest of the Premium Line

The Original is the same chassis with the control stripped out. Here is what each listing publishes.

Machine Motor, as HiSmith lists it Control in the box Speed / stroke / noise published
Premium (Original) 100 W mute turbine None listed Not published on this listing
Premium (Remote and App) High-efficiency brush motor, 100 W max Wired controller, remote (20 m), app 0 to 240 RPM / 3 to 15 cm / 30 to 50 dB
Purple Premium 100 W mute turbine Wire-speed dial, remote (10 m plus), app 0 to 240 RPM / 3 to 15 cm / 30 to 50 dB
Gold Premium 100 W mute turbine Wire-speed dial, remote (10 m plus), app 0 to 240 RPM / 3 to 15 cm / 30 to 50 dB
Servok Premium Hybrid servo drive App and remote 600 spm at min stroke, 120 spm at max / 1.7 to 17 cm / noise not published

Who loses. The Original loses on control, plainly and permanently. There is no remote to add later. If you have any intention of using this in a position where the machine is behind you or out of reach, you have bought the wrong one, and no accessory fixes it.

The Gold also loses, for a different reason. HiSmith's own specifications for the Gold and the Purple are identical - same 100 W mute turbine, same 0 to 240 RPM, same 3 to 15 cm stroke, same 30 to 50 dB, same 11.5 kg. The gold finish is an oxidation process rather than paint, and that is the entire difference. It is a finish, not a faster machine.

The Servok is the real step change, and it is the only one: a different drive mechanism, a 1.7 to 17 cm stroke that adjusts from the app without stopping, and up to 600 strokes per minute at minimum stroke. It is also about 15 kg. If you want app-adjustable depth mid-session, nothing else in the range does it.

So the Original earns its place for one buyer: solo use, machine within arm's reach, and no interest in paying for a radio you will not use. That is a real buyer, and it is not a compromise for them.

Using It Safely

A machine removes the feedback loop a hand or a partner gives you. It will keep going at the depth and speed you set whether or not that is still a good idea. Read this bit.

  • Set the depth before you switch it on, not during. HiSmith's own attachment care notes say never to adjust thrust depth while the machine is running, and to make sure the depth knob is fully tightened first.
  • For anal, start at the shortest stroke the machine allows and increase from there. HiSmith's generic advice is to begin at a medium depth setting - for anal, that is not conservative enough.
  • Know the real maximum. The included dildo has a 15.2 cm insertable length, and the frame has a 36.5 cm telescopic range. That means the machine can drive an attachment to its full insertable length if you position it there. Depth is set by where you put the machine, not only by the stroke setting. Do not assume it is limited to a few centimetres.
  • The rectum does not self-lubricate. Use water-based lube, and more of it than you think you need. Reapply.
  • No numbing or desensitising products. Pain is the warning system that stops you tearing. Removing it does not increase what your body can take.
  • Stop on sharp pain. Bleeding means stop and seek medical care.
  • Never go anal to vaginal without washing the attachment or changing the condom on it.
  • This machine is not rated waterproof. HiSmith publishes no waterproof rating for it, and it runs from a mains power supply. Keep it away from water. Clean the attachment, not the motor housing.
  • A suction cup adaptor is not a mount. The KlicLok Suction Cup Adaptor lets you fit a suction-cup dildo to the drive arm. It does not anchor the machine to a surface and it is not a load-bearing fixing.
  • Duty cycle. HiSmith publishes no continuous-use limit for the Premium Original - it describes the machine as engineered for sustained use. That is not true across the range: the HiSmith Capsule carries a 30-minute continuous-use limit so its motor can cool. Check the limit for the machine you actually own.

Why Buy From Pleasing Strings

We hold HiSmith stock in Brisbane and Melbourne, and orders placed before 10am go out the same day. Shipping is free over $99. Everything ships in plain, unbranded packaging with a discreet billing descriptor, so nothing on the box or your statement says what is inside. Machines carry a 1-year warranty, and that sits on top of your rights under Australian Consumer Law - it does not replace them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the HiSmith Premium Sex Machine (Original) come with an attachment?

Yes. HiSmith's What's Included list for the Original specifies a 20 cm (8 in) silicone dildo with a 15.2 cm (6 in) insertable length, a 4 cm diameter and a weight of 336 g, attached via the KlicLok mount. You also get four support rods, two metal T-braces, six antiskid covers, a hexagon wrench, a power supply and a carry bag.

Is the Original a desktop machine?

No. HiSmith describes it as a floor-standing thrusting machine on a chrome-plated solid steel rod framework, and states that it performs best on carpeted surfaces. It stands on its own support rods and T-braces rather than sitting on a table. If you want it at bed height, HiSmith makes a pneumatic lift platform rated for the Premium series.

What motor does the Original use?

HiSmith specifies a 100-watt mute turbine motor for the Premium Original, and describes it as designed to maintain consistent thrust without stalling. It is not a DC motor. HiSmith's listing does not publish a decibel rating for this machine, so any specific noise figure you see quoted for the Original has not come from the manufacturer.

How fast does it go and how long is the stroke?

HiSmith does not publish an RPM figure or a stroke-length range on the Original's own product page. It publishes a 36.5 cm (14 in) telescopic distance and a 0 to 90 degree angle range. The Purple and Gold Premium machines, which share the chassis, are published at 0 to 240 RPM with a 3 to 15 cm adjustable stroke. Those are family figures, not measurements of this SKU.

Can I add a remote to the Original later?

No. HiSmith does not list a remote, an app or a separate speed controller in the Original's box contents, and there is no retrofit kit. If you want wireless control you buy a variant that ships with it - the Premium (Remote and App), the Purple Premium or the Gold Premium. This is the one decision you cannot reverse after purchase, so make it before you buy.

Is it safe for anal use?

It can be, with care. Set the shortest stroke available and the shallowest machine position before you switch it on, never adjust depth while it is running, and use plenty of water-based lube because the rectum does not self-lubricate. Be honest about the real maximum: the stock attachment is 15.2 cm insertable, and the machine can drive it to full depth if you position it that way. Stop on sharp pain, and seek care if there is bleeding.
