The HiSmith Gold Premium Sex Machine is worth buying if you want the HiSmith Premium platform and you want it in gold. HiSmith publishes the same performance figures for the Gold and the Purple Premium: a 100 W mute turbine motor, 0 to 240 RPM, a 3 to 15 cm adjustable stroke, 300 N.cm of torque, 30 to 50 dB and 11.5 kg. The gold is a finish, not a faster machine.
The quick version
- HiSmith publishes identical performance specs for the Gold Premium and the Purple Premium. Same motor rating, same speed, same stroke, same torque, same noise, same weight. The difference is the colour of the anodised finish.
- Published Gold Premium specs: 100 W mute turbine motor, 0 to 240 RPM, 3 to 15 cm stroke, 300 N.cm torque, 30 to 50 dB, 11.5 kg, stainless steel and ABS.
- The remote is quoted at 10 m or more. The chrome Premium (Remote and App) is quoted at 20 m and also ships with a wired speed controller. On control hardware, the Gold is the one that loses.
- KlicLok is HiSmith's own eight-sided click mount. It is not a brand, and there are no third-party KlicLok attachments.
- Plain unbranded packaging, discreet billing descriptor, free shipping over $99, and same-day dispatch on orders placed before 10am.
Who this guide is for
You have already decided you want a floor-standing thrusting machine, you are looking at the HiSmith Premium range, and you are trying to work out whether the gold one is the better machine or just the prettier one. That is the question this guide answers, and the answer is not the flattering one.
The published specs, in full
Every figure below is taken from the HiSmith Gold Premium product page. Nothing here is estimated.
At 11.5 kg this is not a desktop toy you slide into a drawer. It is a floor-standing machine with a steel frame, and the weight is the point: mass is what stops a thrusting machine walking across the room under load.

Gold vs Purple vs Premium (Remote and App)
The Gold Premium and the Purple Premium publish identical performance specs. If you compare the two product pages line by line, the numbers do not move.
So there is a loser here, and it is the Gold. Against the Purple it wins nothing on paper. Against the chrome Premium (Remote and App) it publishes a shorter remote range: 10 m or more, against a stated 20 m. If you were buying purely on published capability, the Gold is not the machine you would pick.
What the Gold does have is the finish. HiSmith states the colour comes from a metal oxidation process rather than spray paint, which means it will not chip or fade the way a painted frame would. That is a real, durable, physical difference. It is just not a performance one, and the old version of this review implied otherwise.

Both sit in the Sex Machines collection if you want to see them side by side.
Remote and app control
The Gold Premium ships with a physical remote, a wire-speed dial and app control over Wi-Fi. HiSmith quotes the remote at 10 m or more and lists the app as iOS and Android compatible, with eight pre-programmed thrust modes and ten speed patterns.
The remote is the one you will actually use. It is the control you can grab without picking up a phone, and on a machine that is already running, that matters more than any app feature. The app earns its place for partner control and for saving custom patterns; HiSmith describes remote operation over the internet regardless of distance.
HiSmith does not publish a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi channel specification, latency figure or app version number for this machine, so this guide does not state one.
KlicLok, and what it actually is
KlicLok is HiSmith's own patented quick-release attachment mount. It is a mount, not a brand and not a company. It is an eight-sided click connector: the attachment pushes on and locks, with no twisting and no tools.
The practical consequence is that there are no third-party KlicLok attachments. Anything with a KlicLok base is HiSmith's. If you want to run a toy that does not have a KlicLok base, you need a HiSmith adapter, and that adapter has to come from HiSmith too. Whether that is a limitation depends entirely on whether the HiSmith machines and accessories range already has what you want. It is a large range, and for most people it does.
Choosing an attachment (with the real numbers)
This is where the machine decision actually gets made, and it is where the numbers on the product pages are worth reading properly. Here are the three attachments most people compare.
Read that table again, because it kills the usual assumption. The Golden Monster has an insertable length of 17 cm. The 7" Veined Slim has an insertable length of 17.2 cm. The Golden Monster is not the longer toy. It is the thicker one: 16 cm of girth against 11.9 cm. A previous version of this review warned people off it on the basis of an "8.5 inch insertable length" that does not exist on the product page. The 8.5 inches is the total length including the base and the KlicLok plug.
So the honest guidance is: the step up to the Golden Monster is a girth step, not a depth step. Girth is the dimension people misjudge. If you are comfortable with a 11.9 cm girth and want more, that is the reason to consider it. If you want more depth, you do not need a different toy, you need a longer stroke setting on the machine, and that is free.

The Golden Monster is 100% silicone with a spiral ridged shaft, is harness compatible, and HiSmith lists it as suitable for anal and vaginal use. The two slim anal dildos have removable KlicLok plugs, so they work on the machine and, with the plug out, off it. The full range sits in the sex machine accessories collection.
Stroke length is not the same as depth
The 3 to 15 cm figure is how far the rod travels, not how deep the attachment goes. Depth is set by where you position your body relative to the machine, and stroke length is how much of that the machine adds and removes on each pass. Set the stroke short and reposition closer, and you get deep, small movements. Set the stroke long and sit further back, and you get shallow, large ones. Working that out on the machine, at low speed, before you turn anything up, is the whole trick.
Should you buy the Servok instead
The HiSmith Servok Premium is the machine to compare against if the Gold's stroke range is your sticking point. It replaces the crank-link mechanism with a servo drive, and it publishes a stroke range of 1.7 to 17 cm, adjustable on the fly rather than by stopping and turning a knob. HiSmith publishes 2 Nm static torque, 3 Nm at peak, and a maximum of 600 strokes per minute at minimum stroke, dropping to 120 strokes per minute at maximum stroke. It weighs about 15 kg.
Two corrections to what this review previously said about it. First, HiSmith's listing states stroke depth adjusts via the companion app or remote, so calling the Servok app-only is wrong. Second, and more usefully: HiSmith does not publish a decibel figure for the Servok. That means nobody, including this shop, can honestly tell you it is quieter than the Gold Premium. The Gold publishes 30 to 50 dB. The Servok publishes nothing. If quiet operation is your deciding factor, the machine with a published number is the safer bet.
The Servok's real advantage is the adjust-without-stopping stroke and the longer 17 cm maximum. If neither of those is what you are after, the Gold Premium does the job.
Safety and setup
A machine removes your ability to pull back instinctively. Everything below follows from that.
- Start at the shortest stroke. The Gold Premium's minimum is 3 cm. Its maximum is 15 cm. Work up from 3, do not start in the middle, and do not let anyone tell you the maximum is smaller than it is.
- Never adjust thrust depth while the machine is running. This is HiSmith's own instruction. Stop the machine, set the locking screw knob, confirm it is fully tightened, then start again.
- Lube is not optional, and for anal use the rectum does not self-lubricate. Use more than you think, and reapply. A machine will keep going long after friction has become a problem.
- Water-based lube only. HiSmith states directly that silicone-based lubricant degrades the silicone attachments. This is chemistry, not preference. Have a look at lubricants and lotions if you need one.
- Anything used anally needs a flared base. On the machine, the KlicLok connector holds the attachment. Off the machine, with the KlicLok plug removed, check the base yourself: an item without a base wide enough to stop it being drawn into the rectum can require surgical removal. HiSmith does not publish base dimensions for these attachments, so do not assume.
- Never go anal to vaginal without washing the attachment first or changing the condom on it.
- No numbing or desensitising products. Pain is the signal that tells you to stop before something tears. Removing the signal does not raise what your body can take, it only removes your warning.
- Stop on sharp pain. Bleeding means stop and seek medical care.
- Keep it dry. HiSmith publishes no waterproof or IP rating for the Gold Premium. It is a mains-powered appliance with a steel frame. Wipe the frame, wash the attachment, do not take the machine anywhere near water.
- The lift platform is a stand for the machine, not for a person. HiSmith rates the Premium Fucking Machine Lift Platform at a 60 kg maximum static load, with a height range of 55 to 80 cm. It is built to carry the machine. Do not put your weight on it.
- HiSmith publishes no continuous-use limit for the Gold Premium. Some machines in the range do have one, so if the housing gets warm, give it a rest rather than assuming it is rated to run indefinitely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the HiSmith Gold Premium more powerful than the Purple Premium?
No. HiSmith publishes identical figures for both machines: a 100 W mute turbine motor, 0 to 240 RPM, a 3 to 15 cm stroke, 300 N.cm of torque, 30 to 50 dB and 11.5 kg. The published difference between them is the colour of the anodised finish. If you do not specifically want gold, the Purple Premium gives you the same machine.
How loud is the HiSmith Gold Premium?
HiSmith publishes an operating noise level of 30 to 50 dB for the Gold Premium, and states it stays below 50 dB under normal conditions. That is the figure on the product page, and it is the same figure published for the Purple Premium and the chrome Premium (Remote and App). Noise on a machine also comes from the surface it sits on, so a rug helps.
How deep does the HiSmith Gold Premium thrust?
The Gold Premium has an adjustable stroke length of 3 to 15 cm, set with a locking screw knob. Stroke length is how far the rod travels on each pass, not how deep the attachment reaches. Depth comes from where you position your body relative to the machine. Set the stroke, then adjust your position, and always do both with the machine switched off.
Is the HiSmith Gold Premium safe for anal use?
It can be, with care. Start at the shortest stroke setting, which is 3 cm, and work up. The rectum does not self-lubricate, so use plenty of water-based lubricant and reapply. Never adjust thrust depth while the machine is running. Skip numbing products entirely, since pain is the signal that stops you tearing. Stop on sharp pain, and seek care if there is bleeding.
Is the Golden Monster dildo too big for most people?
It is thicker, not longer, than the slim options. HiSmith publishes an insertable length of 17 cm and a girth of 16 cm for the Golden Monster. The 7" Veined Slim Anal Dildo has an insertable length of 17.2 cm and a girth of 11.9 cm. So the step up is roughly 4 cm of girth at almost identical insertable length. Girth is the dimension people misjudge.
Is the Servok quieter than the Gold Premium?
Nobody can honestly say. HiSmith publishes 30 to 50 dB for the Gold Premium and publishes no decibel figure at all for the Servok. Claims that the Servok is quieter are not supported by any number HiSmith has released. The Servok's documented advantages are its 1.7 to 17 cm stroke range and the ability to change stroke depth without stopping the machine.
The verdict
The HiSmith Gold Premium is a good machine. It is also the same machine as the Purple Premium, and it publishes a shorter remote range than the chrome Premium (Remote and App). Buy it because you want a gold, oxidation-finished steel frame that will not fade, and because the 100 W, 240 RPM, 3 to 15 cm, 300 N.cm platform underneath it is a proven one. Do not buy it because you have been told it is the more powerful one. It is not, and anyone who tells you otherwise has not read the product page.
